Operations Research (2001), B.A in Economics from Universidad Central de Venezuela (1997). Before joining CAF, he worked as a Research Economist at the Central Bank of Venezuela. His research interests focus on quantitative macroeconomics and economic development.

Previously, she worked as a professor and researcher at Universidad del Rosario (Colombia), lecturer at Universidad Carlos III and Universidad Nacional de Córdoba. She was a researcher at IERAL, Fundación Mediterránea (Argentina).

Verónica Frisancho

Ph. D. in Economics from Pennsylvania State University, and a B.A. in Economics from Universidad del Pacífico, Peru. Her research interests are applied microeconomics and economic development. Prior to joining CAF, she was a senior economist at the Inter-American Development Bank.

Member of CAF’s research team since 2016, where he conducts applied research in areas of urban economics, labor economics and economic development. Previously served as an undergraduate and graduate lecturer at Universidad Torcuato di Tella and Universidad Nacional de Tucumán.

Ph. D. in Economics from the University of Rochester (USA). M.Sc. in Stochastic Modeling and B.A. in Economics from the Universidad Central de Venezuela. His research interests are in the areas of macroeconomics and labor economics. Before joining CAF, he worked as a professor at the Universidad Carlos III in Madrid, the Instituto Tecnológico Autónomo de México (ITAM) and the University of Kent in the UK.
